Salesforce Field Service Mobile App: FEs Logging into Production - iOS

This process is completed by Field Service using the Field Service Mobile App (FSMA).
This article reviews the steps to log into the Production Server in the Field Service Mobile App. This Server is the "Live" server that houses your Service Appointments.

Steps
Installation
1, Access the App Store from your mobile device.
2. Search for "Salesforce Field Service" in the search bar at the top of the screen.
3. Locate the Salesforce Field Service app in the search results and tap Get.
4. Enter your Apple ID and password.
5. Tap the INSTALL button to begin the installation process.
6. Wait for the app to install. You will see the application downloading (blue circle).
7. Once the download is complete, tap the OPEN button to launch the Field Service Mobile App.
Once you open the app and proceed through the introduction and key features, you will be presented the log-in screen. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOG IN YET. First, let's confirm the connection that is selected. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen to see the list of connections; make sure Production is checked and return to the log-in screen.

Next, you will tap Use Custom Domain, and enter "Daktronics" to create the custom connection. You will then be brought back to a log-in screen, but now, you will see Salesforce CRM at the top of your screen.
Note: By typing in Daktronics, your Connection is https://Daktronics.my.salesforce.com

Use your employee credentials to log in and complete the OKTA verify authentication.

Finally, Tap Allow to complete the setup process and arrive at your Service Dashboard to confirm you have correctly logged in to the Daktronics Production server of Salesforce.

Adjusting Auto-Update Preferences
To ensure your app version is always up to date, follow these steps to enable your device to download updates as soon as they are released.
Settings > Apps > Field Service
Location: Always & Precise Location
Background App Refresh: On
Cellular Data: On
Note: Setting the Field Service Mobile App Location Services to Always will allow you to stay connected to the Salesforce Server.
This will allow a feature such as Automated Geofencing to be triggered when you are close and quickly change the status from Enroute to On-Site.
Adjusting Auto-Update Preferences
Settings > Apps > App Store
Verify you have the correct Automatic Download settings for Wi-Fi and Cellular to ensure you always have the recent Field Service Mobile App Downloaded.
