FSMA: Creating & Modifying Resource Absences

This process is completed by Field Service and Service Partners using Field Service Mobile App (FSMA).

 

This article reviews the steps to block time on the Technician's schedule so that they cannot be scheduled for a period of time.

 

Note: All Requests are still required to be communicated to your Supervisor.

Steps

 

Adding an Appointment

 

1. Tap on your Profile in the bottom right corner of your screen.

 

 

 

2. Tap on the plus sign next to Resource Absences to create a new entry.

 

 

 

  1. Choose Non-Availability.

 

 

 

  1. Select the type of absence from list below:

 

 

Vacation: Documenting PTO/UTO. Approved by Supervisor.

 

Training: For Onboarding & Training *Note*: This activity is assigned by a Supervisor.

 

Dak Sub Work: Applies to Service Partners who are committed to assisting with an Instillation.

 

Helpdesk: Assisting with Help Desk Activities.

 

Committed By Sup: When assigned a commitment/potential Service Appointment by Supervisor.

 

 

 

  1. Enter appropriate information in the required subject field. 

 

 

 

Ex.     Type: Vacation

Start Time 8:00am July 1, 2025

End Time: 5:00pm July 2, 2025

Description: Family Trip

 

 

 

  1. Click the Save. You will then see the newly created Resource Absence in your Profile.

 

  

 

 

 

Editing & Deleting a Scheduled Item

 

1. Find the Appointment you want to modify by tapping the three dots next to the appointment name.

 

 

 

2. To Edit the Resource Absence, tap Edit to modify Appointment. Tap save to capture update.

 

 

 

3. If you need to Delete a Resource Absence, tap Delete to open a dialog box where it will ask for a confirmation before it is removed from your Resource Absences.
